What to Expect

Call 570-538-5538 to schedule an appointment, and we will find a time that is convenient for you.  We are open 7 am to 7 pm Monday though Friday for your convenience.

Please bring in any available medical history you have for your pet when you come to our hospital. If you do not have it available, let us know ahead of time and we can call your previous veterinarian and obtain it for you.

You will be personally greeted upon entering our hospital for check-in, and we will update any necessary information.  We do our best to minimize any wait time, but occasionally an emergency appointment or sick animal will delay our regularly scheduled appointments.  We have a comfortable reception area equipped with a Keurig machine and water cooler for our clients.  Help yourself to dog and cat treats for your pets as well!

You will then be escorted into an examination room where a veterinary technician will ask you some questions about your pet’s history, diet, and lifestyle.  Next, the veterinarian will enter and ask any additional questions and perform a thorough head-to-tail physical on your pet.  We do our best to utilize low-stress/fear-free techniques to minimize the stress of your pet’s visit.

The veterinarian will thoroughly explain all recommendations, options, and treatment plans, and then perform any treatments or testing.  You will then have an opportunity to ask any additional questions.  If additional testing is done, results are usually given during the appointment or the veterinarian will call with the results.
